Boreas ist ein Ölgemälde im Pre-Raphaelite Stil, das 1903 von John William Waterhouse erstellt wurde. Das Gemälde heißt Boreas, nach dem griechischen Gott des Nordwindes, und es zeigt ein junges Mädchen, das vom Wind gefesselt ist. Boreas wurde Mitte der 1990er Jahre zum Verkauf gestellt, nachdem sie seit 90 Jahren verloren gegangen war - was zu einem ganz Gefühl in der Kunstgemeinschaft führte. Die Malerei erreichte damals einen Rekordpreis für Waterhouse, erzielte einen Preis von £848.500 ($1.293,962USD).
