gather ye rosebuds while ye may ist ein ölgemälde auf leinwand, das in erstellt wurde 1909 von briten Pre-Raphaelite künstler , JOHN WILLIAM WATERHOUSE . Es war das zweite von zwei gemälden, die von der 17th jahrhundert gedicht " zu den jungfrauen , viel zeit machen " von robert herrick, der beginnt : Sammelt rosenknospen, solange ihr mögt , die alte zeit ist still a-flying ; und dieselbe blume, die heute morgen lächelt, wird sterben . Das kunstwerk wurde mit bewertet $2 . 5 millionen von Sotheby's vor der auktion im april 2007 , obwohl das gemälde nicht verkauft wurde .
