Die Corvette Cataluña segelt vor der Küste von Barcelona. Dieses Schiff wurde 1872 in Blanes (Girona) von shipwright Ramón Vieta gebaut. Am 19. April 1872 wurde sie in Barcelona unter dem Namen „Dolores“ mit der Firma Garriga y Baldiris als Eigentümer eingetragen. Im Jahre 1883 wurde das Schiff von der Firma Gusi erworben, am 6. Oktober von Francesc Gusi i Mercader und Francesc Sala i Coll gekauft, die es umbenannt “Cataluña”. Am 23. August 1887 wurde die Corvette Cataluña auf den Bahama Banks zerstört, wobei die gesamte Crew überlebte.
