Kopie des Portraits von Martínez Montañés von Diego Velázquez. Es zeigt einen alten Mann im dunklen 17. Jahrhundert mit einem Modellierungswerkzeug in seiner Hand, vor einem Tonkopf von Philip IV. Juan Cabré malte es als Übungsstück, als er zwischen 1900 und 1908 Student der San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando) in Madrid war, mit einem Stipendium der Provinzregierung in Teruel.
