Diese kleine Arbeit verfügt über ein Porträt eines Paares von frischgebackenen, mit einer auf jeder Seite. Beide tragen ihre Feinheit. Die Braut vervollständigt ihr elegantes Kleid mit Rubin und Perlenschmuck, während ihr Ehepartner, in einem doppelten und schwarzen Over-Dublet, eine feierliche Haltung hat und begleitet von einem kleinen Hund symbolisieren Loyalität. Die Arbeit ist im Stil von piccola pittura –kleine Kabinettgemälde als Geschenke für führende Sammler oder Einführung in Kommissare abgeschlossen – die in der Bolognese Schule entwickelt wurden. Wir finden wichtige Beispiele für diese Art von Malerei von Künstlern wie Carraccis, Guido Reni (1575–1642), Passerotti (1529–92) und Denis Calvaert (c.1540–1619). Es ist auf Kaution von der San Luis Royal Academy of Noble and Fine Arts (Real Academia de Nobles y Bellas Artes de San Luis) in Zaragoza.
