madonna mit der nelke ist ein ölgemälde von leonardo da vinci 1478-1480 . Die zentrale ( und zentriert ) motiv ist die junge jungfrau maria mit ihrem nackten jesuskind auf dem schoß . Mary sitzt und trägt kostbare kleidung und schmuck . Mit der linken hand , sie hält eine nelke ( als heilendes symbol interpretiert ) . Die gesichter werden beleuchtet, während alle anderen objekte dunkler sind , f . e . die nelke ist von einem schatten bedeckt . Das kind schaut auf , die mutter schaut nach unten — es gibt keinen augenkontakt . Die einstellung des porträts ist ein raum mit zwei fenstern auf jeder seite der figuren . es ist permanent in der alten pinakothek in münchen ausgestellt , Deutschland seit 1889 nachdem es in privatbesitz war .
