Eine Zeichnung des Kopfes einer Frau drehte drei Viertel nach links und schaute nach unten. Das Haar ist in aufwendigen Geflechten befestigt und in Spulen über den Ohren angeordnet. Dies ist eine Studie für den Kopf von Leda im verlorenen Gemälde von Leda und Swan. Die mythische Leda wurde von Jupiter in Form eines Schwans verführt. Leonardo arbeitete an zwei Kompositionen des Themas und führte schließlich ein Gemälde aus, das im 18. Jahrhundert zerstört wurde. In den vier überlebenden Studien von Leda
