Gemalt von Marco d’Oggiono, einem engen Mitarbeiter von Leonardo da Vincis in Mailand, verbindet dieses Bild Elemente der Porträts und Allegorie. Das reich gekleidete Weibchen, das ein inscrutable Lächeln trägt, ist mit Efeu gekrönt und hält eine Schüssel Kirschen. Die Bedeutung ist enigmatisch: Sie kann der Ehe (je symbolisierte eheliche Treue) zustimmen, schlägt aber auch eine Verbindung mit ausgefeilten literarischen Kreisen vor. D’Oggiono baute eine erfolgreiche Karriere, zunächst in Leonardos Stil arbeiten und Kopien nach seinen Gemälden machen, später wegbrechen und seine eigene künstlerische Identität gestalten.
