Der Colon Theather ist ein von dem 1914 eingeweihten französischen Architekten Claude Sahut entworfenes Biulding und später zum Nationaldenkmal 1972 erklärt. Das Theater befindet sich gegenüber der San Martín Plaza, früher Zela Plaza. In seinen frühen Jahren hatte es nur zwei Etagen und eine Jugendstil-Stil Kuppel. Das Gebäude wurde 1936 von dem Ingenieur Alejandro Garland auf sein aktuelles Aussehen umgebaut, was wichtige Veränderungen wie das vertikale Wachstum des Gebäudes mit sich brachte. In seinen Einrichtungen wurden zahlreiche Theaterarbeiten vorgestellt, und seit 1921 auch filmographische Projektionen.
