Nach dem Weg der Armee von Daitya greift der Dämon Raktabija die Göttin Kali an. Zunächst schien dieser Feind unbesiegbar, denn mit jedem Tropfen seines Blutes, der auf den Boden fiel, sprang ein anderer Dämon auf. Allerdings konnte die emaciated Kali das fallende Blut konsumieren, wodurch der Dämon besiegt werden konnte. Hier verteidigt sich Raktabija vom mehrarmigen Angriff Durgas, während die Dämonen, die aus seinen Wunden entstanden sind, entlang Kalis ausgedehnter Zunge stehen.
