Eine der sieben Bronzebüste, die Präsidenten der Republik, von Nicolina Vaz de Assis (1874-1941), in der Sammlung des Museums der Republik. Geboren in Campinas (SP), war Nicolina eine der ersten brasilianischen Frauen, um eine Karriere als Bildhauer zu machen. Sie war Studentin an der National School of Fine Arts (Rio) und an der Julien Academy (Paris).
