Pirosmani war ein irritierendes Individuum, das viele Arbeitsplätze aufbewahrte, um zu überleben, anstatt sich allein auf seine Malerei zu verlassen. Einer dieser Jobs war ein Milchstall mitten in der Stadt, wo er Milch, Joghurt, Käse und Butter verkaufte. Er würde oft seinen Laden aus keinem Grund verlassen und durch die Straßen der Stadt wandern. Bei diesen Gelegenheiten liebte er die Straßenmusiker, die Lauforganspieler besonders zu beobachten. Es war in dieser Zeit in seinem Leben, in der er sich ein Kunststudio hinter seinem Laden leisten konnte, als er regelmäßig malen konnte.
