Nikola Obrazopisov (1829–1915) war der Sohn von Ioan Iconopisets. Er wurde 1829 im Dorf Prodanovtsi, Region Samokov geboren und starb am 17. Januar 1915. Er hinterließ eine Fülle von künstlerischem Erbe, das neben Ikonen auch Wandmalereien, säkulare Porträts, Gemälde von Folklore Kostümen, Landschaften und Genrekompositionen umfasst. Ein heller und patriotischer Bulgare, er engagierte sich in der Erleuchtung während des bulgarischen National Revivals und nahm einen aktiven Teil an, der an dem Kampf um nationale und kirchliche Unabhängigkeit beteiligt war. Er arbeitete während seines Lebens aktiv. Seine Werke finden sich in den meisten Dörfern um Samokov, Rila Kloster, Dupnitsa, Pernik und Radomir, in Sofia Bezirk und Panagyurishte, aber auch in Nordmakedonien und Serbien.inv. NG 593
