Geboren (1877) und in Kyoto aufgewachsen, studierte Nishimura Go’un unter Kishi Chikudō und Takeuchi Seihō. Er wurde für seine meisterhaften Tierbilder bekannt. Nachdem seine Gesundheit während der Taishō-Ära (1912–1926) scheiterte, soll er seine Hand vor allem auf kleine Gemälde gedreht haben. Dieses Gemälde, das in der renommierten 1935 Sansankai Ausstellung im Kaufhaus Takashimaya gezeigt wurde, ist jedoch eine große und leistungsfähige Arbeit. Ein Sandstrand am See Biwa inspirierte diese Arbeit. Vielleicht in der Hoffnung, die Fischer zu nutzen
