Dieser bemalte Fan, früher verwendet, aber mit liebevoller Sorgfalt gerettet und wieder als hängende Schriftrolle, zeigt blaue und weiße chinesische Glockenblumen, Japans Lieblings Herbstblüten. In Kombination mit Pampasgras drücken chinesische Glockenblumen den Moment, wenn der Spätsommer in den Herbst übergeht. Obwohl das Gemälde ein Siegel mit dem Titel "Hokkyō Kōrin" ("Kōrin, der Rang Hokkyō") trägt, fehlt es an der Spontaneität des großen Genies des Rinpa-Stils und kann somit einem der zahlreichen Anhänger von Kōrin zugeordnet werden.
