Eine zentrale Schublade bildet einen Schreibtisch; zwei Seitenfächer öffnen sich, um versteckte Schubladen zu enthüllen, die mit einem Federmechanismus öffnen. David Roentgen, Schränker und Maschinenbauer an König und Königin, war für seine Präzisionsmechaniker und zarte Marquetry-Dekoration bekannt.
