Dieses bemalte Kruzifix zeigt Christus auf beiden Seiten, lebt auf einer und auf der anderen Seite tot. Er ist umgeben von der Jungfrau Maria, Heiligen und Evangelisten. Die doppelseitige Dekoration zeigt an, dass dieses Objekt aus verschiedenen Winkeln gesehen werden sollte, wenn es in Prozessionen getragen oder während der Masse angezeigt wird. Orioli mag es für die Franziskanerbruderschaft (Bruderschaft) von San Girolamo in Siena gemalt haben, die er 1481 beigetreten ist.
