Gulin Qingmao war eine wichtige Yuan-Dynastie (1271-1368) Chinesischer Zen Mönch, bekannt für die Entwicklung literarischer Ausdrücke, vor allem buddhistische Verse (J., Geju), die den Zustand der Erleuchtung in der Welt von Zen erklären. In seinen späteren Jahren wurde Gulin zum Hauptpriester des Baoning Tempels auf dem Berg Jinling Fentai, wo viele japanische Mönche, darunter Sekishitsu Zenkyu der Provinz Chikuzen (heute Tag Fukuoka Präfektur), unter ihm studierten.
