Dies ist eine interessante Skizze von Raja Ravi Varma eines Elefanten mit allen Vorwürfen der königlichen Würde. Im Vordergrund steht der Kanon und das Schwert. Auf dem Elefanten sind die Howdah, Flagge und Regenschirm. Links vom Elefanten ist der Schaftha (conch-shell), der ein besonderes Symbol von Vishnu ist. Die conch-shell wird Panchajanya genannt, das ein Symbol der religiösen Autorität ist, die durch das Wort ausgeübt wird. Der Shankha bleibt weiterhin Teil des Emblems des Staates Kerala. Der Elefant trägt interessant ein Banner mit einem Emblem bestehend aus zwei Elefanten und den Initialen
