Bericht an König Sejong von Sin Suk-ju über seine Rückkehr nach Korea Bis zur Veröffentlichung der Haedongjegukgi im 15. Jahrhundert waren die Ming- und Joseon-Dynastien bereits etabliert und internationale Beziehungen in Ostasien für eine Wiedergeburt posiert worden. Demnach wurde Sin Suk-ju im 25. Jahr der Herrschaft des Königs Sejong (1443) als offizieller Gesandter nach Japan geschickt, um über die japanische heimische Situation zu berichten. Sin besuchte Kyoto über See- und Landwege für etwa sieben Monate, hielt von Tsushima Island an, um in die „Treaty of Gyehae“ einzusteigen und sammelt relevante Dokumente, bevor sie nach Hause zurückkehren.
