Kleine Schiebetüren wie dieses Paar wurden für die Lagerung Regal gefunden neben Anzeige Alcoves (Tokonoma) in den Empfangsräumen von traditionellen japanischen Häusern und wurden oft schön lackiert. Die stilisierten Landschaftsformen und die üppige Färbung im Kontrast zu Blau, Grün und Gold schaffen eine traumhafte ästhetische Welt, die für Edo Rinpa-Stile charakteristisch ist. Die Türen sind mit Cloisonné Emaillegriffen mit Paulownia Motiven ausgestattet.
