Familienporträt der Amsterdamer Tauffamilie Brak in einem Innenraum, der um einen Tisch für ein Kaminstück sitzt. Von links nach rechts: Reverend Jan Brak (1717-61), sein Bruder Pieter Brak (ca. 1714-nach 1778), sein Vater Harmen Brak (über 1768), seine Schwägerin Margaretha Hasselaar (1726-80/83) und ihr Mann Cornelis Brak (1724-82). Im Vordergrund steht ihre älteste Tochter mit Puppe, Margaretha (geb. 1752) sitzt auf der Schoß ihrer Mutter. Ein Blick auf die Bibliothek auf der linken Seite.
