Zwei Frauen, begleitet von einem Teilnehmer, blicken über ihre Schultern zurück und blicken auf Mt. Fuji im Sonnenaufgang. Der Gipfel von Mt. Fuji ist so hoch, dass er über den Rahmen hinaus haftet. Der robuste Berg auf der rechten Seite ist Mt. Ashitaka. In den Feuchtgebieten ruhen hier zwei japanische Krane ihre Flügel für den Winter.
