Gauguins polnischer Schüler Slewinski zog von Pont-Aven nach Le Pouldu und dann nach Doelan zwischen 1889 und 1916. Dieses Stillleben im Stil von Paul Gauguin bezeugt den Einfluss des Meisters. Flache, einfarbige Bereiche, stark umrissen, eine Vogelperspektive und vereinfachte Formen ganz deutlich die Pont-Aven-Ästhetik in diesem Gemälde, das Marie Schewtzoff gewidmet ist.
