In dieser Szene halten die Jungfrau Maria und Johannes der Evangelist die Hände Christi. Hinter seinem Grab sind die Arma Christi, oder die Instrumente des Passions: der Speer und der Schwamm, der Hammer und Nägel, das Kreuz, die Stufen, über die die Geißel hängt, und der Pfeifenpfosten mit dem Hahn. Es gibt auch einige Szenen aus der Passion, wie der Diener Petrus als Freund Christi (die er leugnet), Pilatus Hände gewaschen von Schuld und den Kuss von Judas. Die Komposition dieses Gemäldes basiert auf der von Fra Angelico in der Alten Pinakothek in München.
