This woman’s workbag lined in vibrant red silk contains a number of useful sewing implements, including a crochet hook, needle case, thread winder and bobbin, all of which are made of bone. The bag’s portable size would have allowed its owner to work on needlework wherever she was, whether at home, visiting or travelling.
