Biography:
Enrico Vannuccini was an Italian artist born in Cortona in 1900 and died in 1990. He was an etcher, painter, and writer, but he is best known for his ex-libris etchings, particularly in his distinctive Art Deco style. He began his career as an illustrator for an advertising agency in Milan and subsequently moved to Rome, where he met several leading artists. He made his debut as an opera singer in 1898 at the Teatro Avvalorati of Livorno in 'Paulus' of F. Mendelsshon. In 1904, he sang the role of the bass in the opera 'Conchita' by Riccardo Zandonai. He also painted and wrote, and his works have been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 39 USD to 1,500 USD. He was also a part of the Festival of Religious Art: Religious Art by Artists of Chicago and Environs in 1931.
