Markus Lupfer is a German fashion designer born in Cologne in 1971. He is the founder of the eponymous company based in London, United Kingdom. He became a regular on the London Fashion Week schedule until February 2003. In 2006, he became the Design Director at the Spanish fashion house Armand Basi, taking the label from strength to strength and winning 'Designer of the Year' at the Prix De La Mode Awards two years later. He is known for his attention to detail and his use of motifs, such as lips, in his designs. He has also worked as a consultant for brands such as Ruffo, Cacharel, and Mulberry.
