Marliete Rodrigues Da Silva, also known as Marliete, was born in Caruaru, Brazil in 1957. She is a ceramic artist known for her beautiful miniatures. She has a perfect technical mastery and is one of the most expressive, talented and valuable artists in Alto do Moura in Caruaru, considered the largest Center of Figurative Arts in the Americas. She is the daughter of the important artist Zé Caboclo and began working with clay in 1963, when she was just six years old. She is considered a living heritage of Pernambuco.
