This mangour is a replica inspired by traditional screens found in Jeddah. The mangour is a screen made from strips of wood cut in specific ways to create geometric patterns. It is considered an integral feature of Hejazi architecture. Its design and function is based on the notion of duality: to conceal and reveal, to let in light and cast shadow, to warm and cool.
