Museum: korea-craft-and-design-foundation (Seoul, South-Korea)

Technique: Lacquer

ATTO is a glass lacquerware that combines the transparency of glass with the deep color of lacquer. Even with the same lacquer, the feeling of painting on the surface and the inside is different when working with glass, and the coloration and transparency also varies every time depending on the drying conditions, but the artist flexibly accepts these variables as the charm of the material. A free style was emphasized during this process, using complementary colors, with coldness, warmth, modernity, and tradition harmoniously captured in small cups. (Fieldwork Press)
