Originally from Oslo, Norway, Chris Jorgensen settled in California and trained at the San Francisco School of Design. Jorgensen is known for his paintings of San Francisco and Yosemite, as well as his depictions of California missions. This work captures the San Francisco waterfront from the northeast, looking towards the Ferry Building. Nob and Telegraph Hills and Twin Peaks are visible in the background.
