Illustration of an Iberian Ceramic Decoration. Decorative composition from a crater vase found at the Azaila iberian archeological site in Teruel, Aragon, now at the National Archeological Museum (Museo Arqueológico Nacional) in Madrid. The illustration combines various techniques to make it look as realistic as possible. The illustrator used a nib pen to outline in Chinese ink, as well as watered-down Chinese ink, and Chinese ink with a full brush to reproduce the varying intensity of the paint on the vase. A fine stripe is used for the sections that have been lost or almost lost. The composition is made up of two sections. On the left-hand side is a strip of ivy followed by a scene with three wild boars being chased by three wolves, along with some tree-like designs. The second section depicts a hunt with six deer (four of them stags) being pursued by a horseman with a spear and possibly a dog. At the bottom left are two roosters facing each other.
