King Saul greets David as the victor of Goliath. Outside a gate of the city, Saul welcomes with his entourage and a great multitude of David, who kneels before him. Behind David some soldiers with banners and the sword and the helmet of Goliath. To the left in the foreground lies the hewn head of the Philistine reports.
