Let’s Walk reflects on perceptions of good and evil in relation to martyrdom, pertaining to the fact that both victim and perpetrator of a violent act can be considered a martyr, and that the word is often casually used without regard to moral context.Haider Ali Jan belongs to a Shiite family who live in the old city of Lahore. Several of his works have been composed around Shiite ritual, particularly the public performance of religious customs and ceremony. Fusing photographs and digital illustration, he alludes to the contradictions inherent in political rhetoric, media and conventions of belief.Exhibited in
