A flock of cormorants on cliffs. In the background, islands in the sunlight. Commorads dive after fish in the ocean and are often seen with their wings stretched out drying their feathers like we can see one of the birds doing in the picture.Røst is the municipality all the way at end of the Lofoten archipelago consisting of 365 islands, some of them with the richest bird nesting areas in Northern Europe. The coat of arms of the municipality has three commorants on it.
