Peace - Burial at Sea is an oil on canvas painting by the English Romantic landscape painter, watercolourist and printmaker William Turner. A haunting tribute to David Wilkie, who had died and been buried at sea off Gibraltar the previous year, on his way back from a visit to the Holy Land. It was painted in 1842. This painting (87 x 86,5 cm) is currently housed in the Tate Collection, London.
