The Cage We all need a cage.We need it to know where we belong: In the cage.The cage protects us, makes us feel safe, we hold on to its bars to pull ourselves up. The cage is double walled, or double barred we should say; it consists of an inner and an outer cage. The inner cage we build partly ourselves, the other part is delivered by the environment; the outer cage is delivered partly by the environment, the other part we build ourselves.If the cage does not have a solid floor but has only been slipped over your head, you can throw it off, then you are free.But that is very dangerous.(Text: Wolfgang Lettl)
