Modelo de yeso de una cabeza de bisonte esculpida por A. Phimister Proctor y dada a Theodore Roosevelt. En 1909, Theodore Roosevelt sustituyó a los leones tallados en piedra en el manto del comedor estatal en la Casa Blanca con tallas del bisonte americano. TR vio al león como un símbolo de la monarquía europea y pensó que un animal único estadounidense, como el bisonte, debe ser utilizado en su lugar.
