Natividad, también conocida como La Santa Noche o la Adoración de los Pastores, fue comisionada por Alberto Pratoneri por su capilla familiar en la iglesia de San Prosper de Reggio Emilia, en 1522. Correggio no terminó el trabajo hasta el final de la década, y fue colocado en la iglesia en 1530. La pintura gira alrededor del bebé, envuelta en los brazos de María, que emite un suave brillo amarillo, iluminando la noche oscura. Un grupo de varios ángeles se esconden en las nubes arriba, presenciando la escena. El cuadro fue trasladado a Modena, Italia en 1640, y ahora está ubicado en la Galería de Fotos del Viejo Maestro en Dresden, Alemania.
