Trukanini (c. 1812-1876) era una mujer de Nuennone de Bruny Island. After several members of her family had been abducted or killed by settlers, including her prospective husband Paraweena, Woorrady became her partner in 1829. Trukanini y Woorrady viajaron con G A Robinson, Protector Oficial de Aborigines, cuyo objetivo era eliminar a los indígenas de Tasmania a su misión en Flinders Island, para el supuesto beneficio de las poblaciones nativas y colonizadoras.
