Esta pintura representa el buque americano HUGH CRAWFORD cerca de una costa rocosa, retratando el buque desde dos perspectivas diferentes. HUGH CRAWFORD vuela una bandera sindical británica en su mizzenmast y un cartel rojo. Esta pintura fue posiblemente pintada para William Langdon que era el Maestro de los vasos en 1824. El buque fue utilizado para transportar carga y pasajeros entre Londres, Hobart y Sydney a principios de 1800.
