Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz, Sammlung Wolfgang Gurlitt, erworben 1953 Rose von Rosthorn (1864-1919) nació en Prävali (hoy Prevalje en Eslovenia) a una reconocida dinastía industrial austriaca. En 1886 se casó con el industrial Ludwig Friedmann. No sólo fue Rose una de las primeras montañistas de Austria, sino que también fue la primera mujer en escalar el Watzmann Ostwand y el Thurwieserspitze en la cordillera de Ortler. Durante la guerra mundial Me ofreció como enfermera para inválidos de guerra y sucumbí a tifus en 1919. Alma Mahler por uno afirmó que Rose había estado románticamente involucrado con Klimt.
