Esta pintura representa la finca en Cheltenham que fue establecida en 1901 por la artista y su esposo químico, George Ekins Gulliver. Henrietta cultivaba lavanda comercialmente para destilar, y también mantenía amplios jardines de flores en Sassafras, en los Rangos Dandenong. En 1922 los Gullivers vendieron la granja a los propietarios de las casas metodistas, que ya poseían gran parte de la tierra adyacente. Para la década de 1950 la Iglesia Católica había comprado la tierra, más tarde la construcción de un hogar para niños desfavorecidos que era dirigido por los Hermanos Hospitalarios de San Juan de Dios.
