El sultán es visto en el trono de la arife, con sus pilares esbeltos en sus cuatro esquinas, usando su tradicional kaftan y turbante con una larga aigrette. La columna y la gruesa cortina en la parte posterior nos dicen que el Sultán está dentro del palacio. Hay litografías del sultán Selim III en la misma composición. El pintor debe haber utilizado estas litografías, que fueron reproducidas y distribuidas en Europa durante el siglo XIX como modelo. También hay un ejemplo en el Palacio Topkapı. El litógrafo de Aramyan y Sourieu en la Colección de Fundación Suna y İnan Kıraç es otro ejemplo de estos.
