Central en esta pintura es un barco de tres dimensiones con al menos 36 armas. Muchos hombres están trabajando en la cubierta: también en el riego donde las velas son reefed. En el primer plano dos pescadores están en un bucle. El hombre en las filas traseras el barco mientras que el hombre en frente tira (o carrete en) la red. El agua es la llamada Drierivierenpunt cerca de Dordrecht, Zwijndrecht y Papendrecht donde convergen los Beneden-Merwede, los Noord Maas y los Oude Maas.
