Esta pintura es de dos famosos maestros flamencos: Rubens y Brueghel. Hicieron varios de este tipo de pintura, que se pretendían como obras que combinaban lo mejor de los dos artistas. Aunque Brueghel era responsable de la composición, Rubens comenzó la pintura. Muy esbozo, en pintura fina, pintó a Adán y Eva, el árbol, el caballo y la serpiente. Luego Brueghel tomó las plantas y animales, que pintó con precisión enciclopédica en el acabado de la pintura.
