El patrón en este papel pintado fue diseñado por John Henry Dearle, el aprendiz de William Morris. Dearle comenzó originalmente en Morris & Co en el departamento de tapicería pero Morris notó su talento para el diseño del patrón y eventualmente se convirtió en el Director de Arte de Morris & Co. después de la muerte de Morris en 1896. ‘Golden Lily’ se convirtió en uno de los bufete’
