El maestro luthier (un fabricante de lutes y otros instrumentos de cuerdas) que creó este kemenche de aves, follaje de desplazamiento, y estrellas a lo largo de la cabeza, bordes y la parte posterior de este instrumento, utilizando marfil colocado en tortoiseshell con un respaldo de hoja de oro. Él tallaba las teclas de ajuste de marfil y las tapaba con botones de ébano. Tal decoración fina y elaborada sugiere que este fue un instrumento destinado a ser jugado en el tribunal o para miembros de la clase adinerada.
