En 1610, TOKUGAWA Ieyasu llamó a la construcción de un castillo en Nagoya, que esta pintura representa como estaba en 1933. Esta representación es de particular importancia porque confirma cómo apareció el castillo antes de que se quemara durante una redada aérea de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. En ese momento, la fosa del castillo, que ahora es una plaza, estaba rodeada de árboles de cerezo. En esta pintura, Hida transmite la magnífica grandeza del castillo a la altura de la primavera.
